Today's ride went well.  11 bikes. 12 people as Lynne rode pillion on Lee's KTM. Brilliant weather.  Darren Blakly kindly rode back marker with his Suzuki GSXR600.  Lou Lucas on his MV Agusta Brutale accompanied Ed Sargent on his GS1200.  Danny left his Triumph at home to make a rare appearance on an Aprilia Tuono.  Paul Bergamasco came all the way from Haslemere on his Triumph Tiger, joining Mike Smith on his Daytona.  Chris Cairns on an R1. Jill rode a Honda CB500, giving her Bergman 400 scooter to Roger for the day.

Started in Ower, up the Hamptworth twisties to Downton and across to Combe Bisset.  Country lanes through to Cranborne and on towards Wimborne, turning right past Tarrant's WWII airfield and the ford at Tarrant Hinton.  A354 to Pimperne and then across the top road to the foot of Zig Zag Hill.  On past Wynne Green to Shaftesbury.  63 miles to the fuel stop in brilliant weather. Then up to Mere, and 16 miles to the Bennet Arms to sit on the green for lunch - see photos.  Then through to the A30, moving up to an advanced pace. Over the top to the A354, and a fast ride up to Salisbury and on to Carolo's at Wellow for an ice cream. 125 miles or so.

Could not have been luckier with the weather.  11 bikes is a perfect ride size.  I wish I had more time to do this sort of thing!!

Best wishes,

James
