Routes

Some routes that SAM members have ridden in group rides before which are available for everyone to use for personal enjoyment to ride again or for the first time.

They can assist you if wish to lead a ride with having all the planning completed, though we would suggest that if you are going to lead a ride always carry out a pre run as in the words of Winston Churchill "Those who fail to plan, plan to fail".

Have a great time with getting to know other club members, enjoying the destinations and memorable times as your group feels the freedom of biking together feeling safe in a group knowing their is help if required.  Have a safe ride on these routes, even vary them to your own accord.

For getting started to leading rides we would really suggest to start with a "Level 1" SAM Sunday run.

These runs are to help members confidence to become Ride Leaders & Back Markers in getting used to what they need to do with respect of a ride brief to guide the group when travelling and what the Ride Leader & Back Marker will be doing and what is exspected of the participants within the group ride.

Suggested Destinations & Routes for Level 1

1 - Goodwood Motor Circuit Cafe

2 - Lasham Airfield Cafe

3 - Carlo's Ice Cream Parlour

If you would like to lead a "Level 2" ride then you should already be familiar with Level 1 and have completed a few Level 1 rides to gain experiance and self confidence.

Suggested Destinations & Routes for Level 2

1 - Army Flying Museum Cafe

2 - Compton Abbas Airfield Cafe
